We’re writing a Christ-centered curriculum: clear lessons students can hold in their hands, steady practice that makes learning stick, and an app that helps teachers see who needs help. We’re building it at HIS in Jacó first, so it can serve schools everywhere.
The curriculum vision calls for one clear method taught to mastery, with earlier skills revisited on purpose. Printed lessons lead; a companion app is planned to help explain and practice the exact work on the page.
HIS currently teaches with established curricula. The HIS Pods-authored curriculum and companion app are in development. Subjects, grade coverage and timing will be shared once they are approved.
We are writing the HIS Pods curriculum around four commitments.
Mathematics reveals order. Science reveals design. History reveals providence. Faith is part of every lesson, not an add-on.
Scripture memory and biblical literacy are part of the rhythm of the school day, not parked in a separate Bible class.
Students gain real knowledge first, then learn to reason with it and to express it well. Each student moves on when they are ready, so no one waits for the class to catch up.
Written first for the students of Horizon International School, then shared with Christian schools, co-ops and families, so a gift to one campus shapes classrooms far beyond it.
At one of our schools, at home with our curriculum or in the app, the pieces are designed to work together: the book leads, the app reinforces it, and the school platform keeps it organized. The LMS and SIS serve schools today.
The printed book is at the center: lessons and teacher resources in a coherent sequence, shaped by a Christian worldview, for use at school or at home.
